Abstract

Anxiety was a negative emotional condition that often occurred in pregnant women, especially in the third trimester. It was closely related to worries about pregnancy, fetal development, and the upcoming labor process. Various factors contributed to anxiety in pregnant women, including hormonal changes, fear of childbirth, lack of emotional and mental readiness, and financial concerns. These emotional disturbances, if left unaddressed, could impact the well-being of both the mother and the baby. One of the efforts made to reduce anxiety was by implementing Hypno-religion, a combination of hypnotherapy and religious music. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of Hypno-religion in reducing anxiety levels in third-trimester pregnant women. This research applied a descriptive quantitative method with a case study design. The participants were three pregnant women in their third trimester who met the inclusion criteria. The data collection tool was a questionnaire. The data were collected through observation and documentation during the intervention process. After the implementation of Hypno-religion, the anxiety levels of the respondents decreased significantly. The anxiety score of respondent 1 decreased from 39 to 24, the score of respondent 2 decreased from 30 to 22, and the score of respondent 3 decreased from 31 to 22. These reductions indicated a consistent pattern of improvement in all participants. The combination of hypnotherapy and religious music, known as hypno-religion, proved to be effective in reducing anxiety in third-trimester pregnant women. This intervention could be recommended as a supportive therapy during late pregnancy.
