Hypothermia is one of the most common complications in post-operative patients, resulting from exposure to low temperatures in the operating room, the effects of anesthesia, and disruptions in the body's thermoregulation mechanisms. This condition can lead to various adverse effects, such as an increased risk of wound infection, impaired coagulation, prolonged recovery periods, and elevated patient morbidity rates. Therefore, effective prevention and management efforts are essential for maintaining a stable body temperature. One widely utilized method is the use of a blanket warmer, a heating device designed to provide constant warmth to the patient. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of blanket warmers in preventing and managing hypothermia in post-operative patients. The methodology employed is the PICOT framework. The findings indicate that the use of a blanket warmer significantly maintains the patient's body temperature within the normal range, reduces the incidence of hypothermia, and enhances patient comfort during recovery. Furthermore, this intervention has been shown to accelerate healing and reduce the risk of postoperative complications. Consequently, the use of a blanket warmer is recommended as an effective strategy for the prevention and management of hypothermia in post- operative patients, particularly in recovery rooms and intensive care units. Proper implementation and regular temperature monitoring are vital to achieving optimal outcomes.
